The Prodigal Check Returneth

Ah! We got the deposit check back from the lying scum person who sold that car out from under us a couple days ago.

I guess I can rest easily now. Wait a minute! What's this in the comments section from my buddy allan? they have your home address, your phone #, your bank account and routing info and a rough idea of what hours you keep at home.
Be careful...

Wow! Thanks for putting my mind at ease, pal! Guess I'll be sleeping with one nostril open after this.

One nostril open? Cute. That's because he 'stinks', right?

I guess I've become a curmudgeon in my old age. I thought the chance of you getting that check back roughly equal to my chance of playing for the Redskins.

Glad you got your check back, what a great surprise! I've been lurking (through Allan) and reading your car and trombone sagas. Great stuff.

Don't let a paranoid psychopath fill your mind his fearfulness...

Dude, it is just a returned check. Just because he went for the bigger payoff does not make him a home invasion specialist.

dirk: OK, I'll find something else to worry about.

more cowbell: Thanks for de-lurkifying. If you like reading about a doughy, middle-aged guy's self-absorption, you've come to the right place!

yellowdog g: Who told you to say that? Who!?!? It was them, right? Right?!?!? You're working for them!

jeff: Cool! Which position are you playing?

scott: I don't know nothin'!

rhea: Eye! I meant one eye open! Why? What did I say? Nostril? Are you sure? 'Cause that just doesn't make sense! Huh.

all: The car saga continues! If I can think of any way to boil down the nerve-tingling non-events of the last 24 hours, I'll drag this out by at least one more post. Then, I swear, I'll try to post about something more "upbeat."
