My wife came home from the hospital this afternoon. Mariel's face was BEAMING at us through the front window when we pulled into the driveway. Unfortunately, she was a little confused that Mommy couldn't pick her up to hug her. Poor things!
My sister-in-law has been a God send in taking care of Mariel these past couple of days! YAY, Aunt Denise!
On the Health Insurance front: I talked to the lady mentioned in yesterday's post. She indicated that they have received the doctor's records for my wife and that since it appears that she was not diagnosed with this problem in the six months before we joined the plan, we MIGHT just get coverage. Their "nurse" has to review the records and give her OK first. I am guardedly optimistic. But at least that's a kind of optimism...
Thanks, again, for everyone's supportive comments! Maybe I can get back to posting about truly stupid stuff soon...

Yea!!! Any news on the insurance front is good news right now! I am so glad all went well.
I'm glad your wife is home safe and sound (and there is nothing better than a cool Aunt).
Logically the insurance should cover the cost of the surgery. But then again this is a bureaucracy we are talking about. I will pray that they make the right decision and pay up.
I will keep my fingers crossed on the insurance front, but I just don't trust the bastards...
Spend some quality time with your wife and leave the insurance crap for another day.

The beloved Aunt has to leave on Wednesday and I have to work Thursday, so we're working on getting some folks from church to help paper
over the cracks.
Speaking of church, our Pastor's wife brought by dinner for us yesterday. Included were some flowers, a card and a contribution to the Davison Relief Fund. WORD UP!!!
Michelle's Mom & Dad arrive on Sunday. Crazy times, but this is the best possible scenario, given the other options.
