MYSTIC EYES

Bonus: LP cover based on one of my fave budget LPs!

OK, gang! Someone has finally written about my old band, MYSTIC EYES, on their blog!

Unfortunately, the audio download link provided by the shadows of 60s blog is no longer functional. Dang it!

Here's a quote:
While each song on "Watching" is a polished gem, special mention must be given to a few. "Reality Is No Friend Of Mine" is an ominous psychedelic pounder, and "So Far Away From Here" is only so slightly less intense. While the whole album fits loosely into a modernized folk/rock genre, "I Can't Wait To Love You" pays loving tribute to the Phil Spector/Jan & Dean sound. "The Whole World Is Watching" is certainly an appropriate title for this new Mystic Eyes album.

I wish that download link was still valid. Well, maybe some other time...

cs: I'll have to look into one of those file sharing deals. If I can crack that nut, I'll post a link.

charlottalove: Well, if you gotta be a junkie, it might as well be a MYSTIC EYES junkie.

lester hunt: If by "famous" you mean "tarded" then, yes.

Hello. I am on Summer Vacation and ticking off my to do list. I looking for a cd/dvd copy of Mystic Eyes, "Judy" - that is because I am Judy. Do any of you know the lyrics (even if it might not be so kind). Bernie and I had an odd thing. I contacted him briefly and he was sending me a copy, but then I moved to Charlotte.
Thanks.

So, you're "that" Judy!

Heh, heh, heh. AND you now live in North Carolina! (I'm in Fayetteville, BTW)

I'll see what I can do about posting links to our FIRST and SECOND albums. Our version of "Judy" is on the first album; the one pictured in this post is our second album.

I've forwarded your comments to Herr Kugelmeister...

Thanks for droppin' by, Judy!

Don't know if I am "That Judy", probably just one of them -- it was a pretty popular name back in the day (like Brittany and Ashley now and multitudes of spellings). That is why I am hunting down the song. May I suggest you set up a MySpace and link it. Can't tell you how to do it, but my teen daughter's and all of their black clothes friends live for and through the technology and music. I would hook you up with them, but They are in S. Florida now chasing Fallout Boy and the Blink left overs (like Dead Heads I guess) and waiting around for the Warp Tour (they don't like Charlotte - no one dances --their too polite here). That's what I get for raising them on NPR and Indie - probably Bernie's fault. In the mean time - can you post lyrics?
Anon.
