Teh Interwebs
Here's a pithy quote I came across:
Well, I'm not sure about the first part of this statement, but the second sure rings true.
A couple of Internet anniversaries have come and gone here at "who-really-cares-anyway."
One: I quit facebook six months ago. The idea that I'm supposed to be co-opted into a community of people with tourette's disease finally got on my last nerve and I bailed back on November 1, 2010. Having one long-term friendship go down the talking-points toilet was enough to scare me straight.
Two: This here blog was started back at the end of March, 2006.
WOW! Have I really been at it for FIVE FREAKIN' YEARS?!?!?
Granted, my postings have slowed from daily to almost-never, but here I am blogging none-the-less.
Mariel was two years old when I started and she's currently finishing up first grade! Heck, I was still in my forties back then!
I was working at a local label printing company, then quit to work at the dish rack factory and was then laid off for nine months. Then the dish rack factory re-hired me and now the plant has been permanently closed and I'm once again SOL.
Hmm.
Do I even have a point, here?
I guess not, but that's blogging for ya!
Thanks for your support.
